It was my first time to climb velliangiri and very thrilling, The big task is to see Shiva go to this seven-hill lake but this velliangiri seven hill is not so easy, you can climb it only if you struggle a lot.
Velliangiri hill has an altitude of 6000 ft and one has to trek a distance of 6 km to reach the Summit. The best season to undertake the trek is between January and May. Climbing the hill is easier during this season as Snowstorms, hails and severe chillness make it difficult for pilgrims to climb on other days.
Plastic is not allowed in the Velliangiri Hills, which are part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve in Tamil Nadu. Forest officials check bags for plastic and may remove it, and will wrap food in newspapers instead.
